The source code of Taylis is licensed under the Apache License 2.0. You may use, study, modify and self-host it under that license.

Name and icon (trademarks)

The name "Taylis" and the squirrel icon / logo (app icons, favicons and every image derived from them) are not covered by the Apache License (see its section 6). © Toru Kano, all rights reserved.

• You may redistribute the unmodified official apps and releases under their original name and icon, and refer to the project by name to describe your work truthfully ("based on Taylis", "compatible with Taylis servers").
• If you distribute a modified version, give it another name and another icon, replace the brand assets (apps/shared/brand/gen_icons.sh regenerates every icon from one image) and change the app identifiers.
